Meet the team

Certified in Electronic Systems (City & Guilds) and qualified as an NPORS Marine Knuckle Boom Crane Operator, Lee blends traditional engineering craftsmanship with modern technical skills. He’s also served as a Master Skipper contracted to Trinity House, supporting the safety of navigation across UK waters.

Hydrographic Surveyor and Skipper

Dyfan works as a hydrographic surveyor at Binding Marine, where he focuses on seafloor mapping, marine conservation, and supporting the safety of shipping and seafarers. With a BSc in Ocean Science and Marine Conservation, he has gained experience across offshore geophysical surveys and community-led coastal adaptation projects.

He’s confident in using multibeam and single beam echosounders, RTK GNSS positioning, BeamworX, Qinsy, and GIS analysis, and enjoys putting these tools into practice out in the field. Earlier in his career, he carried out biodiversity surveys in Australia with the Sydney Institute of Marine Science and later worked with Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum on public outreach and engagement. He has also contributed to the Marine Energy Wales conference, supporting collaboration between industry, researchers, and communities on the future of sustainable marine energy.

Fluent in Welsh and an open communicator, Dyfan values a positive team environment where technical skills and collaboration go hand in hand.
